LOCATION

Mirror Image will be shot on location in a remote area of the Oregon wilderness. This region not only provides unparalleled natural beauty, but will evoke the atmosphere of dread and isolation that’s at the heart of this story.

PRODUCTION

As a contemporary take on the found-footage genre, most of Mirror Image will be shot by the actors themselves, using smartphones equipped with cinematic lenses. The rest of the film will be captured through a series of hidden cameras and an FX-8 to depict the “film-within-the-film”.

THEMES

Above all else, Mirror Image is a metatextual film, interrogating not just the conventions of found-footage horror, but the assumptions presupposed by fictional storytelling. The viewer is an active participant in Mirror Image, both as an investigator to the film’s central mystery, and an accomplice to the suffering of its characters.
